I feel rather glum today.

Maybe it's to do with the starting hayfever season? Or the quietness at work, with Ceejay working from home? Or the continued marking? (At least now it's examscripts -- faster to mark: no comments required.) Maybe it's the thought of all the things I need to do before we move again in August? (So much to do...)

How am I going to hold out until Friday?

Or maybe it's me. Evil Twin telepathy may have a downside (what do you mean that isn't real?). My bodyclock is refusing to shift out of US time, and it's really screwing with my head.

Still, just one more day, now.

(Then my parents will be here and I'll *have* to get up in the morning - this will either kill or cure!)

Evil Twin Telepathy, is it?

I'm not feeling jetlagged. Just rather isolated and worn out... But hopefully things will improve again, soon. Just tomorrow to go and then I am off work until the 26th.

I also want to go and see if I can find some smart shoes that are comfortable for the Soc T AGM, as both my posh pairs are not very pleasant to walk in at all. I shall be thinking of you while I go forth and shop for shoes... :-)

Hugs and all.

I think I can empathise up to a point. Work has been quiet at TGW this week as well, thanks to the Easter holidays breaking out and some of my colleagues spending the start of the week at a conference. When things are quiet I can find it hard to keep going, sometimes.

That being said, I'm a lot less glum than I was a few weeks ago, after realising that everyone else was as down as I was about the place. Once I realised that it wasn't just me, I cheered up a little. Not what I would have expected of myself, perhaps.

Thank you for the empathy, Sir Knight. I needed that today.

I think I've felt rather glum ever since the Marquis and I watched Donnie Darko the other night. I don't think it's actually to do with the film (which is rather grim in a surreal way), but since then I've just felt so... burnt out, if that is even the right word. It may just be a case of I really need a holiday and to finish the marking, though.

I hope that I'll soon feel a little cheered up, too. I'll be thinking some cheery thoughts in your direction, anyway.

Love,

N.

I haven't seen Donnie Darko yet, but gather it is rather downbeat and not a film for those seeking their faith in human nature either confirmed or restored.

Cheery thoughts reciprocated!
